Quinn Volunteers Help Relieve Hunger in Metro Detroit

December 22, 2016

NORTHVILLE, MI – Quinn’s commitment to support Metro Detroit charities continues as 15 team members volunteered their time on Wednesday, November 30th to help repackage food at the Forgotten Harvest food bank. They successfully packaged 31,150 pounds of food, which according to the Forgotten Harvest team is by far and away a record for a half day volunteer group.

Forgotten Harvest works to fight hunger in Metro Detroit by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from places such as grocery stores and restaurants and distribute it free of charge to emergency food providers across the Metro Detroit area. Forgotten Harvest was founded in 1990 by Dr. Nancy Fishman and has been named the largest food rescue organization in the U.S.

Quinn feels strongly about the importance of helping the communities in which they live and work and looks forward to their next community service activity in early 2017.
