NORTHVILLE, MI – Aug. 8, 2025 – Quinn IP Law is pleased to announce that Albert Abbou has joined the firm as a Patent Attorney, further strengthening the firm’s depth in patent preparation, prosecution, and strategic counseling across a wide range of technical fields.
Albert brings more than a decade of intellectual property experience to Quinn IP Law. His practice focuses on domestic and international patent prosecution across the computer, electrical, and mechanical arts, as well as HVAC and oil and gas technologies. He also works extensively with business methods and electronic commerce, making him a valuable resource for clients operating at the intersection of innovation and emerging technologies.
“We are excited to welcome Albert to the team,” said Christopher Quinn, Managing Shareholder and Founder of Quinn IP Law. “His diverse technical background and proven experience with complex IP portfolios align perfectly with our firm’s commitment to delivering high-level strategic counsel to our clients.”
Albert’s experience spans multiple industries, including automotive, manufacturing, telecommunications, medical devices, and thermal systems. He has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of U.S. and international patent applications and has also provided legal opinions related to patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate.
Before entering private practice, Albert worked as a medical device engineer, gaining valuable insights into the product development process —insight that continues to inform his approach to IP strategy and client collaboration. He has held positions at both boutique and international IP firms, and most recently returned to Michigan from Texas to join Quinn IP Law.
Albert holds a J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. He is admitted to practice in Michigan and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
