Julie is a Principal Attorney at Quinn IP Law. She focuses her practice on guiding clients in obtaining essential protection for their valuable intellectual property and helps develop a portfolio that will support their business goals. She guides them from the initial product development stage and patenting to trademarking and branding. Julie’s hands-on experience working with both inventors and management personnel allows her to create productive and long-lasting relationships. Her ability to provide technical and legal insight makes her an asset to a wide range of clients, from startups to world-wide companies.

At Quinn, Julie provides clients with intellectual property strategies, which include patent, trademark, trade secrets, and copyright services. She provides services in the preparation and prosecution of domestic, foreign, and international patent applications across a broad range of technical fields, including aerospace, robotics, manufacturing, automotive, power generation and transmission systems, consumer products, medical devices, target sports, as well as control systems and related methodologies. She also provides services in design patent applications, patent enforcement, portfolio management, trademark preparation, enforcement, and portfolio management, as well as conducts technical design and consulting, and handles copyright and joint development, along with other matters. Clients depend on Julie because of her focus on helping them achieve their business objectives.

Prior to joining Quinn IP Law, Julie was an attorney at a full-service law firm, where she provided a wide range of intellectual property services to clients, including researching, preparing, and prosecuting domestic, foreign, and international patent applications. She also prepared patentability opinions, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, appeal briefs, and trademark applications.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Eastern Michigan University, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. She is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and is a member of the International Trademark Association.
