Ellen is a Patent Attorney and Shareholder at Quinn IP Law, where she combines her chemical engineering, legal, and supply chain experience to help inventors turn ideas into granted patents.  As a registered patent attorney, Ellen prepares and prosecutes domestic, international, and foreign patent applications, provides invalidity and non-infringement opinions, and counsels global corporations, midsize organizations, small businesses, and individual inventors alike.

Graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ellen has always been driven by the human aspect of her work – from sharing an inventor’s excitement over a granted patent to mentoring engineering students and new attorneys to patenting a product or process that will advance technology and improve lives.

Ellen has worked in the chemical processing, coatings, residential homebuilding, and legal industries for close to three decades.  Prior to her legal career, Ellen had a successful career as a chemical engineer and supply chain manager and has always been driven by the human aspect of her work – from sharing an inventor’s excitement over a granted patent to mentoring engineering students and new attorneys to patenting a product or process that will advance technology and improve lives.
