Angela is a patent attorney at Quinn IP Law. She helps clients succeed in today’s complex patent landscape with her combination of considerable legal and engineering experience. Angela was drawn first to engineering out of a passion for rebuilding muscle cars and, subsequently, to patent law out of an insatiable curiosity related to ever-evolving automotive technologies. Her broad technical background and practical engineering experience allows her to relate to inventors on a foundational level, helping her to secure broad protection for her clients.

Angela’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of domestic, international, and foreign patent applications, infringement analysis, validity and design-around alternatives in a variety of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical and computer technologies including turbines, jet engines, automotive components, lithium-ion batteries, reusable packaging, elevator and escalator systems, optics, pressure retarded osmosis power systems, human-machine interface, medical devices and data mining.

Prior to joining Quinn IP Law, Angela spent over a decade working in the automotive industry at Chrysler Corporation. During her engineering career, Angela worked as a resident engineer for Team Viper, an engine design engineer and vehicle program manager. Angela began her legal career at an intellectual property boutique firm in Birmingham, Michigan, where she practiced intellectual property law with a focus on patent application preparation and prosecution.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute (now Kettering University), a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is a registered patent attorney and a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the Michigan Intellectual Property Association.
